Fantasy Basketball – Waiver Wire Playoff Pickups

In the last four games, Jason Thompson has averaged a double-double while shooting 69 percent from the field. With upcoming games against the big front lines of the Memphis Grizzlies (Gasol and Randolph) and the Utah Jazz (Jefferson and Millsap), expect Thompson to continue to log big minutes and provide help in points, rebounds, and close to 1.5 blocks/steals per game.

Week 16 Fantasy Basketball Pickups: International Edition

Gustavo Ayon has averaged 12.7 points, 10.7 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block per game over the past three games. Yes, he may be a short term add because Okafor and Landry should be back on the court after the All-Star break, but don’t forget that New Orleans is among the worst teams in the NBA, meaning that the young players should get more minutes than normal. Also, current Hornets starting center Chris Kaman may be traded, further opening up the frontcourt minutes.

Fantasy Basketball Week 15 Pickups: Contenders vs. Pretenders

Foye has averaged 11.2 points, 1.9 three-pointers, 3.8 assists, 1.3 steals, 0.9 blocks per game as a starter this season. Expect similar across the board numbers as the full-time starting shooting guard in Lob-City. Foye is a fantasy contender and should be picked up from the waiver wire in almost all formats.

Anthony Randolph: Fantasy Bball Playoff Pickup

Against the Dallas Mavericks last Thursday, he finished with 31 points, 11 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 1 block. Okay so that must be an outlier right? Well on Saturday, Randolph had another monster game against the Oklahoma City Thunder – 24 points, 15 rebounds, 2 steals and 1 block.

Reggie Evans: Toronto’s own Kevin Love…without the Offense

Considering the fact that Bargnani has still not learned how to rebound and that Amir Johnson is out with a sprained ankle, Evans should continue to be fantasy-relevant. Keep in mind he will not provide any help in any offensive categories, but if you need help in rebounds, he is available in almost every league.

Post-NBA Trade Deadline: Anthony Randolph’s Season-Best Vs. Jeff Green’s Low

Anthony Randolph had his best game of the season last night versus the Pistons with 19 points, 10 rebounds, and a steal, while shooting 62 percent from the field. With Darko Milicic attending to the a personal matter, it would have been nice to see Randolph start. But despite Nikola Pekovic starting at center, Randolph came off the bench and played almost 25 minutes.
