Daily Fantasy Football: NFL Week 5 at FanDuel

Philip Rivers (CPP $384) – Rivers looks to be in line for a huge day against the Packers in a game where the Chargers are 10.5 point underdogs indicating that Vegas thinks that there is a high chance the Chargers are playing catchup in this one and thus will be forced to turn to the passing game. Rivers has been rock solid thus far this season and has his favourite toy back in the lineup in Antonio Gates. Use Rivers where needed.

Charcandrick West (CPP $430) – West is slated to play the lead back role in the Chiefs offense and is one of the top CPP plays this week at FanDuel. The Chiefs view West as the back having the most similar skill set to Jamaal Charles and it is likely they will attempt to utilize him in a similar fashion before going to the more limited but talented Knile Davis. Fire up West in double ups and 50/50’s and think long and hard about adding him to your GPP lineups as well this week.

Adrian Peterson (CPP $454) – Despite going up against the stronger defenses in the league Purple Jesus Adrian Peterson remains one of the league’s top talents at the position and is still the centerpiece of the Vikings offense. The Vikings are favoured to win this one and that leads us to believe that there should be extra rushing opportunities for this future hall of famer. Peterson is one of the top five CPP plays this week and should be given serious consideration at a position that had become more and more unpredictable outside of the top tier.

Andre Johnson (CPP $480) – One of our starts of the week, Andre Johnson is also a solid value at DraftKings and is a top two Cost-Per-Projected-Points play this week over at FanDuel. Johnson finally had his breakout game as a Colt and Andrew Luck’s jubilation on the sidelines indicates, that as AJ himself surmised, that Johnson has finally found some comfort in this offense and should be ready to ball out going forward regardless of who starts under center this week against the Patriots. The Colts are expected to be playing from behind in this one and this should lead to more target opportunities for Andre. AJ still possesses a low floor until he shows some consistency but has weekly WR1 upside at a WR3 cost.

Kendall Wright – (CPP $455) – Wright remains one of the league’s top 25 talents at the wide receiver position and now he finally has the quarterback to unlock his potential in Marcus Mariota. Wright and the Titans square off against a struggling Dolphins pass defense this week and the hit or miss receiver should be a hit this week after a big miss last week. Wright has weekly WR2 upside in PPR formats such as FanDuel albeit with a flex2 floor but is a strong matchup play as the top CPP at his position for week six of the 2015 fantasy football season.
