Daily Fantasy Football: NFL Week 8 at DraftKings

0

Jonathan Stewart – (CPP $279) – Jonathan Stewart and the Panther square off against the Colts on Monday Night Football and while Stewart’s floor will remain lower than anyone in football with his level of top tier talent and role due to the vulture threat from Cam Newton and Mike Tolbert he has been playing at a high level lately and should be leaned on to keep Andrew Luck off the field as the Panthers look to continue their unbeaten streak. The Colts defense has long been leaky against the run and have been getting shredded this year both on the ground and through the air by opposing running backs. Start Stewart where possible in DraftKings contests for week eight.

Darren McFadden (CPP $282) – McFadden has a tougher matchup in week eight against the Seahawks but with Joseph Randle out and Christine Michael not yet ready for much third down work D-Mac should get all the touches he can handle. Vegas expects this contest to be more competitive than someone would think at first glance which means McFadden could have more rushing opportunities behind the Cowboys stellar offensive line than one would expect. McFadden is one of the top CPP plays this week and is a sneaky PPR play at DraftKings for those looking to fill out their roster with a high upside, albeit low floor $3,800 play for their week eight lineups.

Stefon Diggs (CPP $284) – This week Diggs and the Vikings square off against the Bears who are fielding a bottom six defense against opposing wide receivers. The Bears are giving up 12.7 receptions, 170 yards and two touchdowns per game to opposing wide receivers and make this a plus plus matchup for a wide receiver expected to lead the Vikings in targets this Sunday. Start Diggs in all contests.

Stevie Johnson (CPP $276) – At a price of only $3,200 and as the top CPP play of the week Johnson is one of the top values of the week wide receiver position for week eight against the Ravens. Gates is expected to miss another contest and Johnson should be more involved this week after being quiet in his return to the lineup in week seven.

Carson Palmer (CPP $292) – The Cardinals are expected to keep it rolling against the Browns in week eight but the six point spread indicates that the oddsmakers do not believe this one will be a blowout and that suggests Palmer should get ample opportunity to throw and generate fantasy points for DFS owners. Palmer is having a vintage season and the Browns are ill equipped to handle a team with three plus receivers and two plus receiving running backs. Fire up Palmer where needed against a Browns team that got shredded by every good quarterback they have seen all season.
