Hot Pickups – Week 16

Cordarrelle Patterson – Available in 53 percent of Yahoo! leagues Patterson remains an upside WR3 option this week versus the Bengals who are missing top corner Leon Hall. Patterson is a boom or bust weekly play who has more value in PPR leagues as he is getting the targets to be an option even when not scoring. Add Patterson where available.

Kirk Cousins – Cousins will be starting for Washington for the rest of the season and looked impressive in week fifteen versus the Falcons putting up 381 passing yards and three touchdowns. The Falcons horrible secondary may not be the best gauge of a players potential fantasy value but Cousins has an even better matchup this week versus a Cowboys defense that has surrendered the 2nd most fantasy points to the quarterback position. Add Cousins if your week sixteen opponent needs a QB or if you happened to make it this far with a less appealing option. Cousins is a QB2 and should be started in all two QB leagues.

Jordan Todman – Available in 81 percent of Yahoo! leagues Jordan Todman offers some flex appeal in week sixteen with MJD still looking iffy to suit up this week. Todman had a big day versus the BIlls racking up 109 yards on 25 carries but saw Dernard Robinson vulture a rushing touchdown. Todman has an easy matchup this week versus a Titans defense giving up the 3rd most fantasy points to the running back position this year and will be a strong start in deeper formats.

Rod Streater – Streater has been a relatively consistent fantasy option with Matt McGloin under the helm and may be of use to those in deeper leagues this week. Streater is available in 75 percent of Yahoo! leagues despite the fact that his 84.8 yards per game over the past four weeks rank him in the top ten. Add Streater even if it is just to block your opponent.

Doug Baldwin – Percy Harvin is not expected back this week and Doug Baldwin has been really coming on as of late as opposing defenses have started to key in on Golden Tate. Baldwin has posted 4.3 receptions and 61.3 yards per game over the past four weeks and is a solid WR4 option during the fantasy super bowl. Available in 76 percent of Yahoo! leagues Baldwin should be added even if it is just to block your opponent.

Ace Sanders – Available in 94 percent of Yahoo! leagues Sanders is expected to step up as the Jaguars number one receiver with Cecil Shorts placed on injured reserve. Sanders will receive extra defensive attention so he may be a riskier play but those in the deepest of league should definitely look into acquiring his services.

Da’Rick Rogers – Most of our readers have already snapped up Rogers in deeper leagues but those in shallow leagues may want to take a gamble on the 89 percent available number two receiver for Andrew Luck. Rogers upside is sky high and he is the most talented active Colts receiver. Add Rogers in any league he is still available in even if it is just to block your opponent this week.
