Hot Pickups – Week Thirteen

David Johnson – With Chris Johnson lost for the rest of the regular season and Andre Ellington dealing with turf toe David Johnson is this week’s hottest pickup and may well be the last big pickup of the year so allocate your FAAB bid accordingly. Johnson is still available in 75 percent of Yahoo! leagues and has RB2 upside the rest of the way. Johnson is an every down back and could see upwards of 20 touches per game if his body can hold up. Add Johnson wherever possible even if it is just to block your opposition.

Doug Baldwin – Doug Baldwin went absolutely bonkers for the Seahawks this past weekend and should be a larger part of the offense going forward with Jimmy Graham lost for the season. Baldwin is no more than a low floor WR3 with WR2 upside but is someone who should be started in deeper leagues as a upside flex2 option. Add the 64 percent available Baldwin where possible.

Alfred Morris – With Matt Jones fumbling his job away in Washington Morris looks to be a true lead back once again. Morris still has a ton of talent and if Gruden decides to utilize him more on passing downs. Morris will be an upside RB3 going forward due to his floor but will see weeks ranked as an RB2 until a time where Jones starts eating too many touches. Morris is currently available in 52 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Jay Ajayi – Ajayi was installed as the Dolphins passing down back last week by former offensive coordinator Bill Lazor but this is what Miami’s brass drafted him to be and we could see Ajayi continue to outtouch Lamar Miller based on gameflow going forward. The 83 percent available Ayaji is currently no more than a low floor, high upside RB2 but could become the starter in Miami at the blink of an eye and should be added wherever possible.

Scott Chandler – With Rob Gronkowski set to miss multiple weeks Scott Chandler becomes one of the hottest pickups of the week. Chandler becomes an automatic consideration for week to week TE1 status. Chandler is currently available in 92 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Shaun Draughn – Shaun Draughn remains the lead back for the 49ers and is one of the rare starting running backs you will find on the waiver wire at this time of the year. Draughn will never be more than an upside RB3 type but could have solid fantasy days sprinkled in until Carlos Hyde returns. Draughn is available in 72 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Kendall Wright – Kendall Wright looked rusty in week twelve but with Marcus Mariota looking like he is improving each week and Delanie Walker being the only real receiving threat on the Titans Wright should continue to see a high volume of targets in the passing game. Wright projects as a high end WR3 with WR2 upside and is currently available in 53 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Add Wright where needed.

DeVante Parker – With Rishard Matthews dealing with broken ribs Devante Parker has finally gotten his opportunity to get some snaps and responded this past week with 80 yards and a touchdown. Parker is the most talented receiver on the Dolphins roster and should see a larger role going forward. Treat the 96 percent available Parker as an upside WR4 with WR3 upside for the stretch run.

Deep league radar: James White, Charles Sims, Dontrelle Inman
