Hot Pickups – Week Twelve

Thomas Rawls – Available in 69 percent of Yahoo! leagues Rawls needs to be owned universally in case the Seahawks decide they can rest Lynch and still win any time in the near future. There are now rumblings that Lynch’s season may be in peril so add Rawls any and everywhere. If you are a Lynch owner and do not have Rawls, well than shame on you. In all seriousness though Rawls has proven why Christine Michael and Robert Turbin were both let go and has been looking like a future RB1 in this offense. Stash Rawls at the end of your bench and be sure to keep late afternoon players in your flex spot as always.

James White – White found the end zone twice for the Patriots this past Monday and seems to have finally earned the trust of the Patriots coaching staff which means more big days are in the near future for White. As displayed on Monday White is now in hold of the Shane Vereen role but as expected has more running game chops giving him higher upside. Blount will remain the closer and one could argue that White’s second touchdown was the result of a hurry up at the goal line and that Blount will still be taking most of the snaps in the red zone so temper expectations a bit. White now projects as an RB3 option with upside going forward and will be in the RB2 mix if he can put together a solid game in week twelve.

Tevin Coleman – With DeVonta Freeman in concussion protocol Tevin Coleman may be in line to start this week for the Atlanta Falcons. Coleman was not very impressive in relief of Freeman but he is the more talented of the two and should work his way up to NFL game speed in short order. View Coleman as a deep league flex3 with RB2 upside if Freeman is ruled out for week twelve. Coleman is available in 75 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Javorius Allen – I am sure by now we have all heard about or seen Justin Forsett’s gruesome broken arm and our condolences go out to his family. From a fantasy perspective this means that rookie running back Javorius Allen is in line to become the Ravens starter. We always like Allen in this offense but with Joe Flacco and Steve Smith both lost for the season and Breshad Perriman looking doubtful as well this is not the offense we saw breakout potential for Allen in. With that said due to all these injuries Allen should become an immediate workhorse and threaten for at least 100 yards from scrimmage on a daily basis due to his plus hands out of the backfield.

Terrance Williams – Available in 59 percent of Yahoo! leagues Williams is still an inconsistent player but is someone who should be owned in most leagues with Tony Romo finally back under center. Williams has always had high weekly upside but remains a boom or bust play that is usually largely touchdown dependent giving him more value in standard than PPR leagues. Add Williams as a WR4 option with upside now that Romo is back.

Tyler Lockett – Available in 85 percent of Yahoo! leagues the Seahawks most talented receiver should at least be on the end of fantasy benches in custom leagues. He will be inconsistent and it seems to always be a guessing as it pertains to who will lead the Seahawks receivers in targets but the upside is here and means Lockett should be on rosters where possible. Lockett is more of a WR4/flex3 than a flex2 but has the upside to quickly morph into a upside WR3 if Wilson deems him worthy. Add Lockett where possible.

Alfred Blue – Available in 55 percent of Yahoo! leagues Blue will never be someone to get excited about in fantasy but remains a starter in the NFL and provides weekly RB3 value albeit with a low floor. Blue hauled in three receptions and a touchdown on top of his modest 21 carries for 58 yards and reminded the fantasy world that he should still be started as a flex2 especially during the byes.

Cody Latimer – If Brock Osweiler gets another start and Emmanuel Sanders is unable to go Latimer could be a sneaky play once again in week twelve. Latimer and Brock have a rapport from working with the second string unit and it showed up this past Sunday as Latimer hauled in his first career touchdown to put the Broncos up late against the Bears. Latimer is available in 99 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Spencer Ware – With Charcandrick West leaving this past Sunday’s contest battling a hamstring issue Ware went off for 96 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Available in 95 percent of Yahoo! leagues Ware could be a big time add if West’s injury proves to be a multiple week ailment.
