Jerryd Bayless to the Hornets
Jerryd Bayless has been traded to the New Orleans Hornets for a future 1st round pick.
It seems like a steep price to the casual observer but Bayless is literally brimming with talent and will benefit greatly from being able to play with and practice against Chris Paul.
Jerryd Bayless will not have much fantasy value playing behind Chris Paul, but place him on your watch list just in case Chris Paul goes down this season as it will make him the hottest pickup in fantasy basketball.
Coming into the league Bayless was compared favorably to Monta Ellis as a scoring point guard who is fearless at getting to the hoop, and is able to finish or get to the line on a consistent basis when he gets there.
Armon Johnson who has impressed with his play this off-season moves behind Andre Miller and has the goods to be the Blazers PG of the future…he is that good. He wll be stuck behind and has any potential fanasy value sapped by Andre Miller and Brandon Roy’s ball handling duties but keep this name in mind in redraft leagues and dynasty league managers may want to make the add now.
