Miami Dolphins acquire Reggie Bush from the New Orleans Saints

It has been reported that a rare NFL sign-and-trade has shipped Reggie Bush to Miami.  According to Jay Glazer, this will be contingent upon Bush accepting a new contract with the Dolphins. Terms of the deal, including what New Orleans gets in return is yet to be disclosed.

Bush played his biggest game ever at the Miami Sun Life Stadium in 2010 where he helped the New Orleans Saints win Super Bowl XLIV.

As both Ronnie Brown and Ricky Williams are free agents and unlikely to be resigned, Bush could be an excellent complement to the Dolphins 2nd round draft pick Daniel Thomas.  Thomas would be the every-down bruiser, while Bush would be the change of pace running back.

The biggest weakness of the former Heisman Trophy winner is his lack of durability.  Over the past four seasons, Reggie has averaged just 11 games per year.  If he can stay healthy, Bush should have a very productive season in the run-heavy offense of the Dolphins.
