vcVince Carter has fallen in the ranks big time and despite getting up there in age and being past his prime is still an elite player but he is just more prone to bad games. He is the top scoring option on the Magic and we expect him to improve on his last years stats of 16.6, 2.9 and 3.1 rather considerably. Yahoo! has him ranked as their #25 rankled SG while I have him ranked as my #19 ranked SG.

Wesley Johnson is one of my favorite rookies this year primarily because of his uncanny ability to average 2 blocks and 2 steals a game. These kind of hustle category numbers would propel him into top-25 player territory and this is the main reason I am so enamoured with Johnson whose hustle cat game has been compared favorably to Shawn Marion.

Terrence Williams is set to light the world on fire and his strong April of 14.3, 6.3 and 7.1 is fantasy beast like. He only stands to get better and have more opportunity this year as he suffered under the previous coaching staff. He has already shown his upside and he may max out at 16, 6 and 6 on the season which would make him a top-50 player on the season. T-Will is one of my favorite players in the league and I look forward to seeing him continue to progress towards becoming a household name in this league. Yahoo! has him ranked as their 33rd ranked SG while I have him pegged a lot higher at #10.

DeMar DeRozan is set to have a breakout season for the Toronto Raptors with Chris Bosh now in Miami but he is not getting much fantasy love. He is primed to score 17+ ppg from the shooting guard position where it is always a tough job to get elite scorers. He has the talent for even more and if the Raptors choose to switch him to his natural small forward spot he should bring in at least 8 rebounds a game. At SG he should average something close to 18 ppg, 6 rpg, and 3 apg on the season, which makes him a solid sleeper as he is ranked 132 overall by Yahoo! and is rated as their 37th ranked SG whereas I have him ranked as my #22 ranked SG. The only problem with DeRozan is that he has not proven to be consistent in rebounds or assists but we can chalk that up to limited minutes and lack of opportunity in his rookie year.

James Harden is too talented to keep on coming off the bench. James Harden is a 15, 5 and 5 waiting to happen from the SG spot which makes him all the more valuable. I am almost sure he will eat in to Westbrook’s assists and ball-handling duties but that may actually be a good thing despite Westbrook proving he can run the point for a playoff team. They brought Harden along slowly but he may be the second best scorer on this team and it is time for the Oklahoma Thunder to set him loose. Kevin Durant and James Harden seem poised to form an unstoppable wing combination for years to come.

J-Has

C.J. Watson is right now slated to come off the bench for the Chicago Bulls.   However, with Carlos Boozer estimated to miss the first month of the season, some added scoring will be needed.  C.J. Watson could be the spark off the bench, providing scoring, steals, and assists.  There have been talks out of the Bulls camp that Watson will be playing alongside Derrick Rose. The starting shooting guard Ronnie Brewer has been brought in for defensive purposes, but look for Watson to close out the game.  Considering that Yahoo! has Watson ranked 203, you don’t have to reach. Keep an eye on him in shallow leagues and draft him in the late rounds of deeper leagues.
