Sit em, Start em – Week Eleven

Derek  Carr– At this point in his career Derek Carr has become a weekly QB1 but there are still a lot of owners out there who are debating between Carr and the guy they drafted to start on a week to week basis. Carr comes in as a top four option this week in a tasty matchup against a Lions defense surrendering the third most fantasy points to opposing signal callers. Start Carr unless you have Palmer, Brady or Rodgers on your roster.

Devonta Freeman – Despite a piss poor week nine in which we saw Devonta Freeman rush for only 12 yards on 12 carries there is reason to believe he will bounce back in week eleven. The Falcons square off against a soft Colts run defense this week and with Matt Hasselbeck under center for Indianapolis Freeman could find extra rushing opportunities down the stretch if and when the Falcons have a comfortable lead and are looking to kill the clock. Start Freeman in all league sizes.

Danny Amendola – Danny Amendola is slated to take on a big role for the Patriots with Julian Edelman nursing a broken foot and is a hot start this week after being this week’s top pickup. It has been suggested that the Patriots may look to limit Amendola’s snaps to keep the oft injured wideout healthy but he should still threaten at least ten targets even if he only sees 70-80 percent of the snaps. Start Amendola in all league sizes unless you are stacked at wide receiver.

Dontrelle Inman – Inman has made the unlikely ascension to number two receiver in San Diego due to the injuries to Keenan Allen and Malcom Floyd. Inman has solid flex upside this week and should see upwards of eight targets while the Chargers due battle with the Kansas City Chiefs. Start Inman in deeper leagues and give him a look in DFS contests as well.

Matt Jones – Matt Jones looks like a solid RB2/RB3 option this week despite a tough matchup against the Panthers defense. Jones will likely be getting more touches than Alfred Morris based on projected gameflow and should be fired up in 12 team custom formats. The Panthers have surrendered 6.8 receptions per game to opposing running backs which gives Jones a high floor compared to Alfred Morris. Start Jones where needed.

Alfred Morris – Washington squares off against a tough Panthers team this week and it looks likely that Morris will see his touches limited in favour of Matt Jones once Washington inevitably falls behind to Carolina. We still love Morris’ talent and ability but it is becoming clear that Gruden is making the move to his handpicked guy in Jones. Avoid Morris where possible.

Andre Ellington – Ellington is trending upwards as Chris Johnson’s backup but has a tough matchup on the slate with the vaunted Bengals defense in week eleven. Ellington still projects as a flex2/flex3 play but most owners should have other options available and are suggested to sit him this week in a low floor matchup if at all possible.

Devin Funchess – Funchess continues to be a disappointment despite a wide open depth chart in Carolina. Funchess saw only two targets in week ten after his mini breakout in week nine and should remain on fantasy benches or waiver wires universally. Don’t start Funchess unless you are in the absolute deepest of leagues.

Torrey Smith – The talented Smith continues to remain an afterthought in the 49ers offense despite the switch to Blaine Gabbert at quarterback. Smith realistically should not be in the mix in any but the very deepest of leagues and should remain on fantasy benches anywhere possible.

Brock Osweiler – Osweiler should not be a realistic option in single QB leagues as he possesses a very low floor as a relative unknown quantity due to a small sample size. It is recommended that owners take a wait and see approach with Brock as it is expected he will start multiple games for the Broncos while Manning works his way back into game shape both mentally and physically.
