TE Rankings – Week 15

Dennis Pitta comes in as our ninth ranked tight end play for week fifteen as the Ravens square off against the Lions. The Lions have been solid against tight ends this season but anyone who has ever watched Flacco play when Pitta is on the field know that Pitta is among Flacco’s top two reads on every play. Pitta should be started with confidence this week and should see at least five receptions for 70 yards with the possibility of a trip to paydirt.

Delanie Walker is a strong play this week versus the Cardinals especially with Tyrann Mathieu lost for the season. Fitzpatrick loves him some tight ends and Walker will be a top option upon his return to the lineup this week. Walker is a stronger play in PPR but still comes in as a TE1 in standard leagues currently sitting at eleventh overall in our tight end rankings for week fifteen. The Cardinals surrender the most fantasy points to the tight end position so there is significant upside here.

Despite scoring a touchdown in three straight weeks Brandon Myers is not a suggested play this week versus the Seahawks. The Seahawks surrender the eighth fewest fantasy points to the tight end position and their talented safeties should be able to find a way to keep Myers in check. Myers has averaged only 39 yards per game over his past four and is too touchdown dependent to be trusted in most formats.

Jimmy Graham steps back in as the top overall tight end for week fifteen. Graham is pretty much matchup proof and is a must-start at tight end despite facing a Rams team that has allowed the fourth fewest fantasy points to the tight end position. Graham remains one of the most dominant vertical weapons in the league even when he is not posting 100 yard receiving games as his three touchdowns in his last two can attest to despite averaging only 50 yards per game.
