Just because you can’t begin to spell his name correctly doesn’t mean you should be scared of picking up Boston catcher Jarrod Saltalamacchia.

As I’ve stated before, the position of catcher is not a superfluously deep position.  Salty is a very attractive option for owners who have guys like Carlos Santana and Jonathan LucRoy on the DL.

Even more surprising than how many letters are in the man’s last name is how available he is in ESPN and Yahoo! fantasy baseball leagues.  He is owned in just 38 percent of ESPN leagues and is available in half of Yahoo! leagues.

He leads all major league catchers in homers with 10 to go along with 25 RBI.  Yeah, you want him now don’t you.
