Waiver Wire: Zack Cozart, SS, Cincinnati Reds

11 April 2012 No Comment

It’s not a household name, you may have not even heard of him yet, but Reds’ shortstop Zack Cozart is, through five games, having a much better fantasy season than teammate Joey Votto.  Obviously that will not hold up, but Cozart has been impressive so far in the 2012 season.  He is hitting .471 and has only one homer and two runs batted in but also has two doubles and two triples.

Cozart is owned in only 35.6 percent of fantasy baseball leagues and 48 percent of Yahoo! fantasy baseball leagues.  Between sandwiched between Brandon Phillips and Joey Votto this season will be the ultimate benefit to Cozart.  Pick him up before you start regretting it.
