Wes Welker Suspended Four Games: Fantasy Impact

Lucky for the Denver Broncos they started preparing for life after Welker and Decker this off-season by acquiring former Pittsburgh Steeler Emmanuel Sanders who actually projects better in the slot and sure handed future fantasy WR2 Cody Latimer.

Wes Welker has been suspended four games for violating the league’s substance abuse policy and that leaves Andre Caldwell and Cody Latimer to battle for a fantasy impact.

This news gives a slight boost to both Demaryius and Julius Thomas and also a slight boost to Montee Ball but the big winner here appears to be Cody Latimer who is still available in 88% of Yahoo! leagues.

Latimer was probably drafted in deeper leagues and already snapped up in daily transaction leagues but you are all advised to make sure just in case.

Latimer projects as a solid flex option with sure-fire WR3 upside for as long as Welker is suspended and should carve out a larger than expected role once contract year Wes Welker returns to the team.

Add Latimer wherever available.
