WR Rankings – Week Twelve

Wes Welker appears to have avoided a serious concussion and should be cleared in time to suit up against his former team and make them pay for not doing so in free agency. Manning should look to ensure Welker has a huge game against the Pats making him a strong WR1 this week. Expect eight receptions, 100 plus yards and one or two trips to the end zone.

Marques Colston has a dream matchup this week against a porous Falcons secondary that have given up the eighth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Though he has had a disappointing season Colston managed to put up five receptions for 68 yards and a score in their first meeting this year and we like him to at least match that total in Atlanta.

Josh Gordon comes in as a WR1 this week despite facing a stingy Steelers defense that has given up the 10th fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Closer analysis reveals much less talented receivers who have had big days against the Steelers this year with Jerome Simpson, Aaron Dobson and Danny Amendola going off against the formidable Steelers cornerbacks. Megatron just whipped the Steelers for 179 yards and two touchdowns and Gordon should vie for 100 yards on the afternoon.

Anquan Boldin should be in for a big game this week against a Washington secondary giving up the sixth most fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. Boldin should have an especially strong day if Crabtree returns to open up the passing game for the 49ers. Boldin is currently ranked as a WR2 this week coming in at number 24 in our rankings.

Kenny Stills is getting a lot of snaps for the Saints but it does not always translate into production as Stills played forty plus snaps and saw only two targets against the 49ers in week eleven. Stills is a boom or bust weekly play but is in line for a big game against a weak Falcons secondary.
