Rizzla presents his wide receiver rankings for week eleven and touches on the lone surprise receiver among the current WR1’s at the position.
Unlike the other positions, wide receiver has only one mild surprise as far as it pertains to the WR1’s through ten weeks of the season in fantasy points per game.
Emmanuel Sanders was a fast riser up preseason rankings when Case Keenum came to town. As we all witnessed with Adam Thielen, Keenum prefers to throw into easier coverage (avoiding his number one) and likes to rely on his slot receivers (both Sanders and Thielen see over 40 percent of their snaps in the slot). Sanders’ ascension to WR1 status, fantasy points wise anyways, has come through unconventional means as he has both a rushing touchdown and a passing touchdown buoying his fantasy output. Sanders has managed to be a metric darling this season and is seventh with 0.61 fantasy points per route and thirteenth with 2.61 fantasy points per target as per playerprofiler.com.
