2018 Fantasy Football: Week Four Running Back Rankings

0

It is only week three and it already seems that one of the consensus top three running backs heading into the season can no longer be trusted. No, I am not talking about the unsigned Le’Veon Bell, rather I am referring to the supremely talented but criminally misused David Johnson. The running back position that just a short while ago looked as deep as it has been in recent memory has suddenly looked a lot thinner and that is with only two teams on bye this week. Bell still has not signed his franchise tag, Joe Mixon is still on the mend after undergoing arthroscopic surgery, Dalvin Cook is a game time decision with a balky hammy, Ronald Jones remains inactive, Rashaad Penny has found himself in the doghouse, Kenyan Drake has looked pedestrian, Alex Collins finds himself in a 50/50 timeshare; the list goes on and on. Fortunately we have also had a few surprises at the position including undrafted free agent Phillip Lindsay and the San Francisco 49ers Matt Breida who figures to see his role increase with the 49ers looking to lean on the run and checkdowns in the wake of losing Jimmy Garoppolo for the season.
