The first quarter of the season at the quarterback position was highlighted by the fantasy heroics of Patrick Mahomes and Ryan Fitzpatrick.

Mahomes went bonkers in the first few games of the season, much to the chagrin of many fantasy owners who had them on their benches for his first two contests. Mahomes, as we all know, has gone on to have a record setting season for a player starting his first full season.

While Patrick Mahomes continued his stellar play in the second quarter of the season, another second year player started making waves as Mitch Trubisky was the per game fantasy point leader at the position.

Andrew Luck’s resurgence after a disappointing first quarter film was another major storyline and his ability to be relatively consistent the rest of the way has him as the clubhouse favorite to win the comeback player of the year award.

While Patrick Mahomes continued his dominant run in the seasons third quarter, Jared Goff started turning heads as well. His 28.5 points was the second highest mark in any quarter through the first twelve weeks of the season.

If someone told you at the start of the season that four rookie QB’s would finish the last quarter of the season as QB1’s would you have believed them. There are a lot of interesting storylines including the fantasy emergences of the rookies as well as Nick Foles getting it done once again with Carson Wentz sidelined due to injury.

As always we will be updating our rankings up until kickoff so be sure to check back often for our latest updates and thoughts.
