The tight end position is starting to look a little less bleak with Greg Olsen and Evan Engram said to be close to week six returns to their respective teams. Hayden Hurst made his NFL debut last week and should see his role expand with each passing week. Ricky Seals-Jones is at least seeing a fantasy relevant number of targets showing a glimpse of his fantasy ceiling with Josh Rosen at QB. Week five saw promising performances from Eric Ebron and Austin Hooper which only helps to fortify the position, for this week anyways. With only the Lions and Saints on bye this week there are no TE1’s on bye and I’d wager half of the fantasy community does not even know the name of who starts at tight end for the Lions. Next week will see three fantasy relevant tight ends on bye so enjoy the reprieve while it lasts.
