2018 Fantasy Football: Week Sixteen Running Back Rankings

0

Rizzla presents his running back rankings for week sixteen and takes a look at semi finals weeks top performers.

King Henry reigned supreme once again in week fifteen (RB3 in ppr, RB1 in standard), bringing a running back who was left for fantasy dead roaring back to life in the process. This week we will take a look back at week fifteen’s top players.

The RB1’s for semi finals week are as follows:

Todd Gurley 34.4
Damien Williams 30.3
Derrick Henry 30.2
Dalvin Cook 29.3
Joe Mixon 27.0
Chris Carson 26.8
Christian McCaffrey 26.0
Marlon Mack 25.9
Alvin Kamara 23.3
Tevin Coleman 20.5
Wendell Smallwood 19.7
Jamaal Williams 19.7
Jaylen Samuels 19.2

Honorable mentions: Kalen Ballage 19.1 points, David Johnson 19.1 points

There are a few major surprises on this list including Wendell Smallwood who scored two touchdowns, Jamaal Williams who got featured back touches once Aaron Jones went down with an injury and Kalen Ballage who took over as the lead back once Frank Gore went down with an injury. Jaylen Samuels was also a surprise, not so much for his total fantasy points but for how well he look on the ground as a runner. Samuels may have just cost both him and Conner some job security as his outing suggested that the Steelers excellent run blocking, wide receiver personnel and scheme may have more to do with running back success than the running backs themselves.

As always we will be updating our rankings up until kickoff  Saturday and Sunday so be sure to check back frequently for our latest updates and thoughts.
