Reports before training camp had it that the New York Knicks starting lineup would consist of Ronny Turiaf at C, Amare at PF, Randolph at SF, Gallinari at SG and Felton at PG.
Reports later surfaced that rookie Timofey Mazgov was impressing Mike D’Antoni and that Mazgov may get the nod as the starting center.
The latest reports however have it that the Knicks may employ Anthony Randolph at C in an attempt to get Wilson Chandler on the floor in the starting lineup and also because neither Turiaf nor Mazgov has impressed enough to warrant a starting position which would cause Chandler to come off the bench.
A move to C would be a serious boost for Anthony Randolph’s fantasy value as he would garner more rebounds and blocks and it would also reason that he would have a higher FG% at C.
For the Knicks this is the best move possible as is it gets all their best players on the floor at once and also gives them a more mobile lineup for D’Antoni’s SSOL offense.
This move would also boost Wilson Chandler’s fantasy stock considerably, so pay attention to preseason action to get a better indication of which way they are leaning.
