Now as you can see he did not say quote we are taking Newton, but by now we all know that Gabbert is not in the mix at QB for the Panthers which means that the inference here is that they have indeed made up their mind and barring owner Jerry Richardson forcing them to go with A.J Green that Newton will be the pick.
Now while we still feel that A.J Green will make more of an immediate impact, Cam Newton still has the chance to be something very special and to be the best quarterback in this draft class.
