Clinton Portis Released: Fantasy Impact

0
Clinton Portis has been released by the Redskins whom are not interested in paying the non-guaranteed portion of his 2011 salary.

Portis may be picked back up by the Redskins after the new CBA is in effect, but admittedly the Redskins will explore other options first.

The Redskins look like they are blowing it all up with rumors swirling that Donovan McNabb may not be back in 2011 either.

Normally one would expect Ryan Torain and Keiland Williams to get major fantasy boosts with this news, but the fact is that the Redskins will probably add another back or two before the start of the regular season so this may have actually opened a sell-high window for current owners.

Pay attention to the Redskins personnel moves in the off-season to get a better handle on the backfield picture and don’t add either Torain or Williams to your 2011 sleeper lists just yet.
