Rizzla discusses the top cost per projected point (CPP) plays for week ten daily fantasy football at DraftKings.
With a heavy bye week affecting this weeks GPP slate we will dig deep and take a look at the top cost per projected point plays based on our week ten rankings.
Andrew Luck ($267 CPP; $5,500 salary)
On a roll over his past five contests Andrew Luck has thrown an amazing 18 touchdowns over and has an average of 305 passing yards per game. Our top CPP play this week at $267 per projected point, Luck’s $5,500 price tag ranks him 16th among quarterbacks which make him a glaring potential value when juxtaposed against our pegging of him as the eighth overall QB for week ten. The Jaguars defense while not balling like they did in 2017 have still been solid on the season but as per Tagz’ primer, down AJ Bouye who has been ruled out again this week, the Jacksonville Jaguars have given up QB1 outings in two of their last three contests. Luck is a solid value play in a potentially strong matchup who should be a consideration for at least one of your lineups this week.
Mark Ingram ($300 CPP; $4,500 salary)
Our number two CPP play for week ten at $300 per projected point, Mark Ingram faces an ailing Cincinnati Bengals defense already without Carl Lawson for the season and who have also ruled out with Vontaze Burfict. This game is shaping up as one the Saints will look to salt away the clock in, which is why we have Ingram pegged as our 13th overall running back for week ten. The Bengals have relinquished an astounding 127 yards rushing to the RB1 types they have faced this season and as per Graham Barfield’s nextgenstats week ten fantasy football matchups column the Bengals have given up 5.7 yards per carry over the last month. Ingram looks like a bargain at his $4,500 salary (30th among running backs) as he should see plenty of touches in this contest and should post at least 75 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Sony Michel ($291 CPP; $5,300 salary)
Sony Michel may look like someone to shy away from this week at DraftKings as he squares off against a Tennessee Titans team giving up the fifth fewest points to opposing running backs. A deeper analysis of their game log however reveals that the Titans have only seen one RB1 on the entire season and gave up 112 yards from scrimmage to Ezekiel Elliott in a contest they won. With the game script likely to be reversed in a game in which the Titans are seven point dogs, Michel will have ample opportunity to see over 20 carries with multiple trips to the end zone. I am not too concerned with a limited workload here as our top cost per projected point play ($291/CPP) Michel was practicing last week before being ruled out for week nine. We have Michel pegged as our ninth overall back for week ten while his $5,300 price tag places him 21st in terms of DraftKings salary ranks, signalling that Sony Michel is one of the top potential values this week.
Mike Evans ($339 CPP, $7,000 salary)
Mike Evans is our number one CPP play for week ten at $339 per projected point. Fifth In our rankings while ninth in terms of DraftKings salary rank at a $7,000 price tag, Evans screams value against a Washington defense surrendering the eleventh most fantasy points to enemy wideouts. Washington’s secondary has surrendered a whopping 7.3 receptions and 103 receiving yards per game to the WR1’s they have faced on the season despite the presence of former top corner Josh Norman. Number two in the NFL with 654 air yards and sixth with 786 receiving yards Mike Evans is poised for a big game with the gunslinging Ryan Fitzpatrick under center.
Larry Fitzgerald ($343 CPP, $5,400 salary)
Our number two CPP play for week ten at $343 per projected point, Larry Fitzgerald squares off against a Kansas City Chiefs defense that has allowed the fifteenth fewest fantasy points to opposing wide receivers. While on paper that does not sound like a recipe for success for a receiver who has struggled this season due to bad quarterback play, this contest is one in which a high volume presents Fitz’ fantasy appeal. In a game in which the spread jumped from 14 to 16.5 just on early action, the Cardinals are going to be forced to throw the ball a ton to keep pace with the Chiefs high octane offense. Our fourteenth overall receiver for week ten, at a $5,400 price tag, Fitz is the 24th overall receiver based on DraftKings salary rank, presenting solid potential value based on CPP. Fitz will lineup all over the field in this one and should be in line for another big day with Byron Leftwich calling the shots.
CJ Uzomah ($320; $3,700 salary)
CJ Uzomah does not have the greatest matchup on paper versus a stingy New Orleans Saints defense but his appeal stems from what is looking like a potential high volume afternoon. The Saints have yet to give up more than four receptions or 54 yards to enemy tight ends but with AJ Green sidelined the Cincinnati Bengals best receivers behind Tyler Boyd include John Ross who is looking like a first round bust and some guys named Josh Malone and Auden Tate. Currently our ninth ranked tight end for week ten due to the aforementioned game script appeal, Uzomah is our top CPP play of the week at $320 per projected point. Fourteenth in terms of salary rank at a $3,700 price tag, Uzomah, who is the TE11 in terms of fantasy points per target, is likely to be a popular play this weekend during a heavy bye week. Roll with Uzomah where needed.
