Rizzla discusses the top cost per projected point (CPP) plays for week ten daily fantasy football at FanDuel.
As always we will touch on some of the top CPP plays for this weeks GPP contests at FanDuel.
Aaron Rodgers ($406 CPP; $8,600 salary)
Our number two overall quarterback for week ten, Aaron Rodgers faces off against a Miami Dolphins defense giving up seventh fewest points to opposing quarterbacks. However a closer look at the numbers reveals that the Dolphins have been shredded by the QB1’s they have faced on the season to the tune of 267 yards passing and 3.6 touchdowns per game. The top QB CPP play for week ten at $406 per projected point, Rodgers’ $8,600 salary places him third among signal callers in terms of FanDuel salary rank. Look for Rodgers to make extensive use of his emerging rookie receivers this week against a secondary that has question marks at corner aside from breakout Xavien Howard.
Mike Evans ($453 CPP; $7,500 salary)
My sixth overall receiver for week ten, Mike Evans is tenth in salary rank at a $7,500 price tag. Evans is our top CPP play of the week at $453 per projected point and goes up against a Washington defense relinquishing the eleventh most fantasy points to enemy wideouts. Adding even more appeal Washington has surrendered a whopping 7.3 receptions and 103 receiving yards per game to the WR1’s they have faced on the season. Roll with Evans where possible.
Marquez Valdes-Scantling ($472 CPP; $5,400 salary)
The new official number two receiver in Green Bay, Marquez Valdes-Scantling checks into week ten currently sitting as our 20th overall receiver. At a price tag of only $5,400, MVS’ $472 CPP places him second among receivers in cost per projected point value. An obvious bargain sitting at 51st overall in FanDuel salary rank, MVS faces off against a Dolphins defense that has been solid against the pass on the season, but has been dicey as of late. As per Graham Barfield of NFL.com the Dolphins have allowed the second highest percentage of twenty yard gains over the five past weeks, an area where MVS specializes as the NFL’s number two receiver in terms of yards per reception at 21.1; MVS has seen 41 percent of his seventeen receptions go for over 20 yards.
Over the last five weeks, the #Dolphins have allowed a passing gain of 20+ yards at the league’s second-highest clip (14%).
Marquez Valdes-Scantling runs a 4.37-forty (he’s 6’ 4”). Seven of MVS’ 17 receptions have gained 20+ yards this season.

Also per Barfield’s Next Gen Stats column on NFL.com:
“Valdes-Scantling will run the majority of his routes against Torry McTyer. Per Next Gen Stats, McTyer has allowed 17/298/1 receiving (on 19 targets) when he’s the nearest defender this season.”
MVS is a WR2 ranked as a WR4 in terms of salary rank. Take full advantage this week in what looks to be a plus plus matchup for MVS and the Packers.
Ezekiel Elliott ($411 CPP; $8,400 salary)
Our number two running back for week ten, Ezekiel Elliott checks in as our number two CPP play at $411 per projected point. Sixth in terms of FanDuel salary rank at a $8,400 price tag, our fifth ranked back Zeke has a tougher matchup this week against a Philadelphia Eagles defense that has been solid against the run. Number one in the NFL with thirteen carries for over 15 yards, Elliott is still likely to see at least one long gain but should do most of his damage through the air. The Eagles are giving up 6.8 receptions per game (seventh most) to opposing running backs and have given up 150 yards from scrimmage per game to the two RB1’s they have faced this season. Elliot is worth a hard look despite the tough matchup.
Joe Mixon ($402 CPP; $8,000 salary)
Our number six overall back for week ten, Joe Mixon checks in at a $8,000 price tag that places him eighth in terms of FanDuel salary rank. Our number one CPP play this week at $402 per projected point, Mixon does have a tough matchup on paper against a New Orleans Saints defense that has not surrendered more than 69 yards on the ground. Further clouding his upside on the ground is the likelihood Mixon faces base to stacked fronts at a higher clip than he would if AJ Green was healthy. Mixon’s appeal in this matchup however stems from his projected increased involvement in the passing game against a team that has relinquished 5.6 receptions per game to enemy running backs. Mixon could surprise and have a big game and should be plugged into lineups where possible, especially for multiple lineup players.
Travis Kelce ($527 CPP; $8,000 salary)
Number one in both our rankings and FanDuel salary rank, Travis Kelce squares off against a Arizona Cardinals defense that ranks solid against tight ends but have surrendered 4.5 receptions and 58 receiving yards per game to the TE1’s they have faced on the season. A yards after the catch monster who is number two in the NFL with 51 receptions and number one with 741 receiving yards, Kelce is in line to decimate a blitz happy Cardinals offense. Roll with Kelce where possible.
