DFS Values DraftKings
Carlos Hyde (CPP $325) – Hyde seems to have an easy path to outplay his salary rank this week versus a Steelers defense that gave up 4.6 yards per carry to journeyman Dion Lewis and surrendered 60+ yards through the air to Patriots running backs in week one. Hyde quieted all his critics in week one and is a solid play in all DFS contests.
Chris Ivory (CPP $300) – Chris Ivory looks to be in line for a huge game against a Colts team that surrendered 147 total rushing yards to the Bills this past Sunday. Now while we are not ones to get too hung up on week one Ivory is a workhorse back in an offense that will be looking to play ball control in an effort to keep Andrew Luck off the field for as long as possible. Ivory has top ten back upside this week and is currently slotted at 17th among running backs salary wise.
Julio Jones (CPP $338) – Despite being the most expensive receiver his projected cost per point makes him one of the best values in week two. Jones has assumed the Pierre Garcon target monster role in Kyle Shanahan’s offense and will be one of the top DFS plays all season long as he will threaten for the league lead in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns. You may have to be creative at other positions but Julio remains one of the top values.
Jordan Matthews (CPP $373) – Despite a higher than desired CPP Matthews still falls below our cutoff line for value hunting and he promises to have a monster season as long as laser beam focused Sam Bradford remains healthy. Bradford loves to lock on to his top receiver and feed him incessantly and Matthews proved in week one that he is more than up to the task. Matthews routinely works out of the slot giving him the type of mismatches that Sam Bradford loves and results in high efficiency catch percentages.
Vernon Davis (CPP $248) – Vernon Davis led the 49ers in both targets and receiving yards in week one and could find seams on multiple occasions this week against the Steelers who got absolutely destroyed by Rob Gronkowski in week one. Slotting Davis in your lineup will allow you to start some studs in other places which is an added bonus.
Sam Bradford (CPP $316) – Ranked as the 13th quarterback salary wise on draftkings Sam Bradford looks like the best bargain at the quarterback position this week. With a projected top two rank and the number one cost per point prudent owners would be wise to start their teams with Bradford at the helm this week. Bradford has a plus matchup against a Cowboys defense that was below the league average in passing yards against in 2014.
