DFS Values: DraftKings – Week Five

Tom Brady (CPP $319) – Tom Brady comes in this week as one of the top cost-per-projected-point plays against the Cowboys and unlike we saw with Matt Ryan and the Falcons last week we are unlikely to see Brady and co. get pulled in this one despite an expected demolishing. Brady and the Pats are on a mission this year after the deflate-gate scandal and will continue to press their foot on their opponents throats despite a lopsided score. Fire Brady up as the top overall and top CPP quarterback play for week five of the 2015 fantasy football season.

CJ Spiller (CPP $311) – Always a PPR specialist Spiller finally got to show off his gamebreaking ability in week four and finished the day with five receptions for 99 yards which should warrant a bigger role going forward starting with this week. The Saints square off against the Eagles this week and with Spiller’s pittance of a salary he is locked in as one of the highest upside plays this week in a game Vegas expects the Saints to be playing from behind in. At a salary of only $3,800 Spiller can fit most lineup strategies and should be someone you take a hard look at when constructing your lineups for this week.

Jamaal Charles (CPP $348) – Jamaal Charles is one of the top CPP plays at the running back position this week in a matchup the Chiefs are expected to be nursing a lead in. As always in KC and Andy Reid’s offense Charles will remain the featured player in both the run and pass game, a position buoyed by the presence of checkdown king Alex Smith under center. Charles has a large salary at $7,800 this week but is one of the few sure things among the top CPP plays and should be someone strongly considered for your DraftKings team for week five.

Julio Jones (CPP $354) – Julio Jones remains the top PPR receiver and is someone, despite the frustrating week four, you want to try to fit into your DraftKings team each and every week. We have now seen that the Falcons will rest their starters in blowouts which is a legitimate cause for concern and also that the run game is now reliable enough that the Falcons do not need to pass but with a matchup against Washington on the slate this weekend we expect Kyle Shanahan to press the issue and let Julio run wild against an overmatched secondary that gave up 14 receptions and almost 200 yards to Odell Beckham and the pedestrian Rueben Randle.

Willie Snead (CPP $259) – Willie Snead? Really? Willie Snead is someone who seems to be emerging for a New Orleans offense that is finally finding its bearings and at a salary of $3,000 is someone who will allow you to chase a top player or two at other positions. Snead is not yet an exciting fantasy name but was one of this week’s top pickups in redraft leagues and has solid PPR upside as what looks like the new number two in the Saints offense.
