DFS Values Week Three: Draftkings
Julio Jones (CPP $336) – Tied for second in the NFL in targets after two weeks of the regular season Julio Jones is finally beginning to realize his mammoth upside. Jones will remain a target monster in this offense as the Falcons are scheming to get Julio involved in the short, intermediate as well as deep facets of the passing game. Julio is the top CPP value at the wide receiver position this week and will likely remain in this role for most of the remainder of the season.
Allen Robinson (CPP $352) – Allen Robinson is one of the top values at receiver based on cost per projected points and could be in line for another big week with the Jags currently looking like they will be trailing for most of the game and forced to air it out. The Jaguars are 13.5 point underdogs in this one so there should be plenty of garbage time opportunities for the Jags top receiver to pile up the fantasy points in week three against the Patriots.
Antonio Brown (CPP $352) – Antonio Brown continues his reign as the PPR king and somehow still manages to be one of the top values based on cost per projected point. There are two things one knows every Sunday, the sun will rise and Antonio Brown will eat. Get Brown in every lineup possible, every week.
Carson Palmer ($CPP 326) – Palmer has looked downright impressive this year and has been a rock solid QB1 through the first two weeks of the 2015 season. Palmer is one of the top CPP values this week at quarterback and with a matchup with the 49ers on the docket, a game the Cardinals should win handily, Carson Palmer has a chance to post QB1 numbers once again this week.
Ameer Abdullah (CPP $314) – With Matthew Stafford banged up Ameer Abdullah may see an increased role in week three versus the Broncos. Abdullah possesses home run hitting ability and also functions as the team’s passing down back ensuring him snaps even if the Lions fall behind to Denver as expected. Abdullah has both a low price tag and a dreamy CPP and should be a strong consideration for all Draft Kings players.
LaGarette Blount (CPP $319) – Blount is a risky play after his week two dud but with a week to get his conditioning up and in a match up where the Patriots are expected to be up big it may not be too long before the Patriots call it a day and go into clock killing mode and give Blount all the work he can handle. Rolling with Blount this week will allow you to stud out other positions and help you make some profit this week. Carefully consider Blount if in need of a $4,000 running back.
James Starks (CPP $329) – James Starks could emerge as one of the number one daily plays this week depending on how Eddie Lacy’s ankle responds when the Packers hit the practice field on Thursday. Unfortunately the Packers do not play the Chiefs until Monday Night so we will have monitor injury updates leading up to kickoff on Sunday afternoon to determine whether or not Starks will be a prudent play. Starks will provide RB2 level value if Lacy misses Monday nights contest and should be plugged into all lineups if Eddie Lacy is ruled out for week three.
