Did Green Bay draft Ryan Grant’s replacement?
That is the buzz coming out of Green Bay via the Green Bay Press-Gazette, rookie James Starks has been heavily impressing and has reportedly looked more agile and athletic than incumbent Ryan Grant.
Starks is already better at catching the ball out of the backfield than Grant and once he picks up pass protection he will take over the third down role from Brandon Jackson.
Starks may not take Ryan Grants job this year, but it is his job to lose in 2012 when Grant’s contract expires and he turns 29. With that said I have never been a Ryan Grant fan and though he does have big play ability and a ton of yards over the last three seasons, we here at Win My Fantasy League feel that James Starks is the superior talent, and that he will force his way into a time-share sooner than later.
Dynasty leaguers take notice as Starks is a prime bench stash if you have the space on your roster. He may emerge with some fantasy value this year especially if Grant goes down and should be the handcuff Grant’s owners focus on this year in redraft leagues.
