Fantasy Basketball Box Score Boxing 11.02.10 – John Wall: Instant Fantasy Beast?
In Fantasy Basketball Box Score Boxing Win My Fantasy League writer Rizzla takes a look at the previous nights most interesting fantasy lines and provides some insight and analysis to utilize going forward.
John Wall had 29 points and 13 assists to go along with a whopping 9 steals and continues to prove his mettle as the #1 overall pick. He did his best Chris Paul impression tonight and may be an even better scorer in the years to come. Wall had 8 turnovers on the game and needs to be more responsible with the ball to truly see his fantasy value soar.
J.J Hickson exploded for 31 points, 5 rebounds and 1 steal. The scoring outburst is a welcome sign the Cavaliers may look to get the ball in his hands more especially after he displayed a propensity to get to the free-throw line making 11 trips there Tuesday draining 9.
Jrue Holiday had a solid day with a double-double of 14 points and 13 assists, he also added 3 rebounds and a steal to his fantasy stat line.
Matt Barnes had an amazing night off the bench for the Lakers with 16 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 1 block. He makes for a good sell-high candidate as his role is set to decrease when Bynum returns to the lineup.
Lamar Odom continued his fantasy tear with 16 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 threes and 1 steal. Odom makes for an excellent sell-high candidate in lieu of Andrew Bynum’s pending return but with that said he still has the potential to produce top-50 numbers off the bench.
Rudy Gay went off for 30 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal, 1 block and 3 threes and we expect him to start to assert himself more on the offensive end of the floor as the season progresses.
Rajon Rondo was at it again with 9 points, 17 assists and 4 steals and he is actually averaging an insane 16.8 assists a game over 4 games.
Joe Johnson had a near double-double with 16 points, 9 assists, 6 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 block.
Kirk Hinrich had 8 points, 9 assists and 4 rebounds and is worth adding to your watch list.
Nick Young had 20 points off the bench and is a name to remember if Gilbert Arenas gets traded this season.
Lou Williams exploded for for the 76ers and had 30 points off the bench.
Rookie Greg Monroe had 10 rebounds off the bench and this should earn him some more playing time.
Ben Gordon started for the Pistons and finished with 16 points, 2 rebounds and 4 assists. He will continue to get the starts while Rip Hamilton is out with a sore foot.
Austin Daye finally showed up and finished the day with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 1 three-pointer. See if he is available in your league after a slow start.
Udonis Haslem had 11 points, 10 rebounds and a block and keeps making a case for fantasy relevance of the Heat bench. FYI: He is out-rebounding Chris Bosh on the season.
Wesley Matthews had another nice game off of the bench for the Blazer and finished with 13 points, 4 assists and 5 rebounds.
LaMarcus Aldridge continues to go off for the Blazer and finished the night with 5 blocks, 4 steals to go with 14 points, 8 rebounds and 1 three-pointer made.
Pau Gasol had a solid fantasy night with 21 points, 13 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal.
