In Fantasy Basketball Box Score Boxing Win My Fantasy League writer Rizzla takes a look at the previous nights most interesting fantasy lines and provides some insight and analysis to utilize going forward.
Zach Randolph absolutely exploded for 20 rebounds and 23 points to go along with 3 steals. All three totals are season-highs and Zach Randolph seems well on his way to another impressive season of 17+ ppg and 10+ rpg. The point total may slip from last years 20.8 due to Rudy Gay taking over as the primary scorer and rookie Xavier Henry a dead-eye shooter taking more and more shots. Zach Randolph is currently averaging 4.5 less shots than last year.
Tyrus Thomas had 16 points, 8 rebounds, 3 blocks and 2 steals in 23 minutes off the bench and I am still scratching my head wondering aloud why Tyrus is coming off the bench in favor of Boris Diaw.
Grant Hill had a double double of 19 and 12 on 8 for 10 shooting and showed some vintage Grant Hill form. Lets all remember if not for injuries Hill had an opportunity to be one of the 50 greatest NBA players of all-time.
Jarrett Jack finally made box score boxing on the strength of 24 points, 8 assists and 3 steals and he looks like he is putting more distance between and his $9 million dollar backup as he played 38 minutes to Jose Calderon’s 10 minutes.
Stephen Curry had a monster night against his Dad’s former team in the Toronto Raptors and he was able to light up the nets he used to practice on as a kid with 34 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists, 3 steals and 2 threes.
Linas Kleiza had 20 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and is showing some of the value that made him the 2nd Raptor drafted late in draft season.
Carmelo Anthony was solid once again with 32 points, 8 rebounds, 4 steals and 2 blocks and he has really been on a fantasy tear that last few games. We still expect him to be traded by the deadline so swinging a deal with him playing at this high of a level may be a good idea for his fantasy owners.
Joakim Noah continues to kill it and had 13 points, 19 rebounds and 4 blocks and is an absolute menace with Carlos Boozer out of the lineup. It is hard to project Boozer’s effect on Noah’s numbers but I would be in the sell-high boat in every league but dynasty leagues.
