Fantasy Basketball Box Score Boxing – Landry Fields Explodes

In Fantasy Basketball Box Score Boxing Win My Fantasy League writer Rizzla takes a look at the previous nights most interesting fantasy lines and provides some insight and analysis to utilize going forward.

Landry Fields went crazy with 17 rebounds and 21 points for a tremendous double double. His playing time will be inconsistent but as he proved tonight he deserves to be on fantasy rosters everywhere as end of the bench depth at a minimum. He added 2 steals to round out his fantasy line.

Josh Smith erupted for 7 blocks to go along with 25 points, 8 rebounds, 1 three and 1 steal. J-Smoov is in a groove and is validating his fantasy owners’ confidence in him on draft day.

Raymond Felton had a near triple double with 19 points, 11 assists and 8 rebounds against the Nuggets. He added 1 steal and 1 block to round out his fantasy line and he continues to thrive in Mike D’Antoni’s system.

Andrew Bogut had a strong fantasy night with 12 points, 18 rebounds and 4 blocks and he has been on a tear in his last two with over 5 blocks a game.

Kirk Hinrich had 13 points, 12 assists and 4 rebounds for the Wizards in John Wall’s absence and he is a solid add as long as Wall is nursing his injury.

Andray Blatche had 22 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 3 steals for the Wizards and seems to really be turning it on as of late.

Daniel ‘Boobie’ Gibson continues to perform when Mo Williams is out of the lineup finishing last nights game with 18 points, 8 assists, 3 threes, 4 rebounds and 2 steals. He needs to be in lineups as long as Mo Williams is sidelined.

Roy Hibbert exploded for a huge double double of 18 points, 15 rebounds, 3 assists, 1 steal and 1 block and is proving to be a consistent fantasy force this season.

Drew Gooden went off for 22 points, 11 rebounds and a mysterious but very welcome 2 threes. Gooden will be inconsistent this season but needs to be owned in all leagues as long as he remains a starter.

Wesley Matthews had 30 points, 2 steals, 1 blocks, 3 rebounds and 3 assists and has emerged as the player to own in Brandon Roy’s absence from the Trailblazers lineup.

Rudy Gay had a solid fantasy line with 20 points, 8 rebounds, 5 assists, 2 steals and 1 three. Rudy Gay continues to assert himself as the Grizzlies top option and that is nothing but good news for his fantasy owners.

Derrick Rose went off for 33 points, 7 assists, 3 steals, 4 threes and 3 rebounds and continues to kill it with Carlos Boozer on the mend.

Gilbert Arenas had a terrific game against the Raptors and ended the night with 20 points, 7 rebounds, 6 assists, 3 threes and 1 steal and seems to be finding his game with John Wall hurting.

  2. I just dropped Corey Maggette for Landry Fields… Do you think it was a good move? I have scorers and wanted someone for rebounds.

Also, your thoughts on Anderson Varejao? I’ve been holding onto him since the beginning of the season, and he’s yet to produce any solid numbers. I need rebounds and blocks.

  3. The Landry Fields is a good one, Maggette’s playing time is so inconsistent and Fields is a starter. There will be a couple of games where Maggette may make you regret it but Landry Fields will continue to start and is a excellent rebounding shooting guard.

Varejao will be what he always is a 10-6 type of player. The extra minutes aren’t doing much because he is taking roughly the same amount of shots he took last year and that is not likely to change.

AV has never been a plus shot blocker with only .8 blocks per game last year and .8 the year before.

I would not consider dropping him unless you are in a shallow league i.e. 6 teams
