Rotoworld provides a helpful injury report for week 3, detailing the expected return of fantasy-relevant players.  One of the more notable injuries is that of Aaron Brooks, who is likely out until mid-December.  With Kyle Lowry also banged up.  Ishamel Smith is a short term add as he will get plenty of minutes at the PG spot for the Rockets.

According to the Miami Herald, Chris Bosh admitted that the transition to his new role (from the number one option in Toronto to the number 3 option in Miami) has been tougher than expected.  He was quoted as saying “I get a little lost out there because it’s different.”  Bosh is the optimum buy low candidate as his 14.4 points and 5.4 rebounds will surely increase as he gets more accustomed to the offense.

In Monday night’s Raptors-Warriors game, Monta Ellis landed awkwardly on his back and was immediately helped to the locker room.  Stay tuned for the results of the X-rays. If Ellis is out for multiple games, Reggie Williams and Dorell Wright would get a bump in the offensive volume categories.  The big sleeper is rookie Jeremy Lin who played solid Monday night, and more importantly spelled both Ellis and Curry, logging over 15 minutes.

If you are playing against a Chris Paul owner this week, consider yourself lucky.  As Roto Professor points out, the New Orleans Hornets are the only team that plays 2 games in week 3.

The Tyson Chandler – Brendan Haywood battle has been one-sided so far this season. Despite averaging roughly the same minutes, Chandler has been doubling Haywood in both points and rebounds. Haywood definitely isn’t helping his cause by shooting 16.7% from the free-throw line.  The biggest surprise may be that Haywood is averaging less blocks than Chandler, which seemed to be Haywood’s biggest strength coming into to the 2010-11 season.  Check out your league as Chandler is available in more leagues than Haywood (42% ownership for Chandler versus 45% for Haywood).
