Welcome to Win My Fantasy League’s Fantasy Football Fantasy Beasts of the week for Week 3
Wide Receiver
Anquan Boldin is finally a #1 WR on his own team and he is thriving in the role as Joe Flacco’s go-to target. He finished Sunday with an amazing 3 TD’s on 8 receptions for `142 yards. Boldin was a no-brainer for the Win My Fantasy League Fantasy Beast of the Week honors.
Running Back (Tie)
Adrian Peterson is the definition of a fantasy beast and finished the day with 23 carries for 160 yards and 2 touchdowns and he also chipped in 5 receptions for 30 yards. Adrian Peterson is becoming a complete back and is looking to reclaim his status as the best running back in football. Fantasy Beast of the Week.
Peyton Hillis torched the Baltimore Ravens for 144 yards and a TD on 24 carries. The versatile back also added a team-high 7 receptions for 36 yards and rewarded fantasy owners who rolled the dice and started Hillis despite the unattractive match-up against the Ravens. He is likely not on any waiver wires after being touted as a hot pickup since Montario Hardesty’s injury. Hillis wins the award for the Win My Fantasy League Fantasy Beast of the Week.
Tight End
Dustin Keller takes home the tight end honors this week with 6 catches for 98 yards and 2 TD’s, and looks to be a rock solid TE1 going forward. Dynasty league managers may want to make a move to acquire after his next quiet game.
Honorable Mentions:
Austin Collie had 12 catches for 171 yards and two TD’s and almost took home week 3 honors but Boldin got a third TD.
Mike Wallace had only 3 catches but was able to garner 100 yards and 2 TD’s with those receptions. Wallace has quite the breakout game and is prone to have some more sud and dud weeks.
Roy Williams had 5 receptions for 117 yards and 2 TD’s and is making his case to stay in the starting lineup over Dez Bryant. We told you before the season that Roy Williams would still get his 5-7 TD’s and Roy Wiliiams is on pace to do just that.
Lance Moore had a spectacular day and returned to fantasy relevance with 6 receptions for 142 yards and 2 TD’s
Antonio Gates had 7 catches for 110 yards and a touchdown and is continuing to produce as the main weapon with Vincent Jackson’s holdout not yet resolved..
Rashard Mendenhall had 19 caries for 143 yards and 1 TD and was a fantasy beast this week.
