Fantasy Football Fix August 19th 2010
Rotoworld writer Evan Silva gives us rankings based strictly on upside. Notable jumps in the upside ranking include: Calvin Johnson at the top of the list and Michael Crabtree and Johnny Knox in the top-15 for wideouts. The tight end list included Jermichael Finely atop the list and Zach Miller and Tony Scheffler in the top-10. This list is a darn good one and you would be well advised to adjust your cheat sheets accordingly.
Stat-a-palooza has tons of useful fantasy football stats that you need to check out, a must-read.
Legedu Naanee is generating a lot of hype this preseason and if Chargers beat writer Kevin Acee is on board, we should be too. Nagnee has ‘limitless potential’ and should be on all redraft radars, he is solid stash in dynasty leagues with V-Jax likely on his way out of town. Our friends at Fantasy Knuckleheads have listed Naanee as one of this seasons top sleepers.
Arrelious Benn has not impressed and is currently a third-stringer. Benn has a lot of ground to make up but as someone Raheem Morris attempted recruit in College you know Benn has a future on this team. Leave for the waiver wire in redraft leagues and stash him on your bench in dynasty leagues.
Percy Harvin collapsed during practice and something has to be seriously wrong here. A diagnosis is forthcoming but for now all we know is he was rushed to the hospital. Our prayers are with promising sophomore Percy Harvin.
Looking for tight end sleepers? ESPN Insider Fantasy analyst Eric Karablell suggests WMFL favorite Zach Miller, Tony Scheffler and Jermaine Gresham, all ends who figure to see plenty of red-zone targets, offer plenty of ADP value and reach career highs.
