Fantasy Football Fix August 22nd 2010

beanieBeanie Wells is campaigning for more carries, and he will get them. Beanie is expected to get most of the touches carrying the football while Tim Hightower is expected to get most of the wok on passing downs. Beanie is a RB1 and a good bet for 10+ scores this year so draft accordingly.

Yahoo Sports has released an ADP progress report and this is a useful indicator as to who the general public may feel represents an ADP value. Players rising in ADP include Johnny Knox, Ahmad Bradshaw and Arian Foster while ADP fallers include Brandon Jacobs, Michael Bush and Devin Aromashadu.

A.J Feeley suffered a thumb injury but expects to play in the next preseason game. This may be the opportunity Sam Bradford needed to open the season as the starter.

Mike Williams of the Seahawks is working with the first-team unit and will be a the 3rd wide receiver with T.J moving to the slot in three-wide sets. I have a sneaking suspicion that Deon Butler and Golden Tate will be promoted to the starting lineup either by eventually severely outplaying their counterparts or with Charlie Whitehurst as they are getting a lot of reps together on the 2nd team.

Jonathan Dwyer is disappointing and Issac Redman appears to be in the mix to get some goal-line work. He has been solid in preseason action and will likely share the role with feature back Rahsard Mendenhall. Mendenhall is still a power back and will get some of the work but fantasy G.M’s have to remember that his upside may be limited due to a gaol-line vulture.
