Fantasy Football Fix August 23rd 2010
Matt Leinart may be in danger of losing his starting job and this is just more of a reminder to stay away from the Cardinals QB situation on draft day, or even as a QB2 unless you are willing to handcuff Leinart and Derek Anderson together and waste a roster spot

Sam Bradford will start the all important third preseason game and if he plays well he will be handed the reigns to enter the season. Its is the last chance to buy low on Sam Bradford and if you have not already drafted bump him up a notch in your rankings.
Chaz Schilens may need surgery and this is yet another in a seemingly long line of injures for the promising but fragile Schilens. Darrius Heyward-Bey and Louis Murphy both get upgrades with this news, with Louis Murphy benefiting the most as the Raiders would have likely insisted that DHB was 1st or 2nd on the depth chart until one of the two forced their hands; he now has the staring job he deserves and Campbell wants him to have. Zach Miller is now looking even more appealing as a absolute ADP bargain as a sleeper elite TE1. Acquire in all formats if the price is right, a 1000 yard 5+ TD season is all but assured.
Stephen Williams impresses again and he is making a case to compete with Early Doucet for the 3rd WR role on the Cardinals. Williams is still not fantasy relevant except for in dynasty leagues.
Damian Williams shows that he may be ready to make an impact on the Titans receiving corps. If Williams can push his way into the starting lineup by mid-season (and he has the talent to) than Williams and Kenny Britt can form a deadly one-two combo that would boost Vince Young into low-end QB1 territory.
DeShawn Wynn signs with Saints. First Ladell Betts, now Wynn. It is obvious the Saints are not completely comfortable with Pierre Thomas’ durability or his ability as a goal-line back. Pierre Thomas is still a solid RB2 especially in PPR leagues.
Sidney Rice may miss the first half of the season. This explains the Vikings dabbling with Javon Walker…this reuniting of Brett Favre and Walker will be interesting to say the least. Place Javon Walker on your fantasy radar while bumping up both Bernard Berrian and Percy Harvin. Deep leaguers….Javon Walker may be worth a speculative add.
