Fantasy Football Fix August 29th 2010
Dwayne Bowe is impressing coach Todd Haley and he says that the sky is the limit for Bowe as long as he stays focused. We like Bowe as a solid ADP value after his disappointing season last year. Draft with confidence as a WR2 with WR1 upside.
Michael Bush breaks his thumb in preseason action and it appears as if Darren McFadden will be the opening day starter. Adjust your cheat sheets accordingly immediately, D-Mac is still one of the most talented running backs in the league.
Former Oregon Duck Jeremiah Johnson is competing with Steve Slaton for the backup job in Houston and is an interesting speculative add in deeper leagues and dynasty league settings.
Further proof Devin Aromashadu is not as highly thought of in Chicago as in fantasy land…last nights game. Aromashadu is still running with the second-unit and backup QB and that should tell you all you need to know.
O-Line not doing Jay Cutler any favors and there is understandably some trust issues developing between Cutler and his line. This does not bode well for the fantasy prospects of any Chicago skill player but we are holding out hope that they can learn and excel at their assignments in short-order.
Chaz Schilens is expected to miss 3-6 weeks of action and as you most likely already know Louis Murphy is the main beneficiary of Schilens absence as it will allow him to enter the starting lineup where he will become the teams primary deep threat.
KnowShown Moreno and Demaryius Thomas both look like they may be a ways away from returning to full speed. We expect Moreno to be back by the opener and Demaryius is more of a question mark though we hope to see him back by mid-season…however there is a chance he goes on the PUP list to tstart the season.
