Felix Jones has bulked up and is ready for the feature back role in Dallas. The most amazing thing is that Felix Jones is in fact now heavier than Marion Barber who is to be the teams power back. King Felix should have quite the fantasy season and this recent revelation may lead to him being on the field more than he would have before this news/info came to light. Marion Barber will likely still be the ‘closer’, but Felix has definitely earned himself more carries with his off-season weight gain. Draft Felix as a RB3 if you can, he should perform like an RB2, but of course sharing a backfield with Marion Barber and the ever talented Tashard Choice keeps his fantasy stock down. Expect 1100 yards and 6-8 all-purpose scores if Felix Jones makes it through the entire season.
Reports out of Cleveland suggest that due to both running backs exceptional talent level that Montario Hardesty and Jerome Harrison may be in a full blown running back by committee. We do not believe it and vouch for Hardesty who is the new regimes back and the power back the Browns wanted and need. Think of Hardesty as Thomas Jones and Harrison as Leon Washinton in the Mangini offense in New York. Hardesty will win this battle but do not draft him as anything higher than a flex play as he has to contend with not only Jerome Harrison but also WMFL favorite James Davis…who is getting absolutely no love from fantasy circles.
As touched on before at Win My Fantasy League, Tashard Choice, not Felix Jones or Marion Barber may be the most talented back on the Dallas Cowboys roster. He is not as fast as Felix Jones and is not as powerful as Marion Barber was. But Tashard Choice is the perfect blend of those two backs all in one package. The reason Choice doesn’t start is because he doesn’t have a big contract or 1st round draft status to live up to…..it would help if he was from Jerry Jones’ Alma matter Arkansas Razorbacks like Felix Jones as well. Choice is a fantasy beast waiting to happen and has managed to stay somewhat fantasy relevant despite being third on the depth chart.
Do you play in PPR leagues? If so, you will find this list of average targets per game very interesting. The top 5 names on the list are Wes Welker, Andre Johnson, Roddy white, Brandon Marshall and Steve Smith of the Giants.. The most notable and perhaps eye-opening inclusions in the top-20 are Micheal Crabtree and Nate Burleson, two players who are solid ADP values.
