Fantasy Football Fix September 12th 2010

bjacksonRyan Grant will miss week 2 for the Green Bay Packers and Brandon Jackson will be handed the feature back role he is a must add in all formats.

Miles Austin looks terrific and looks worth every penny the Cowboys forked out for him and reeled in almost all of his targets and finished the night with 10 catches, 146 yards and a TD.

Dez Bryant was the Dallas Cowboys most targeted receiver in his first game and finished the night with 12 targets and 8 catches. It is readily apparent that Tony Romo wants Dez Bryant in the starting lineup and is doing his damndest to force the coaches hands.

Darren McFadden finished the day with the same amount of total yards as #1 overall pick in fantasy football leagues Chris Johnson. McFadden finished with 95 yards rushing and 55 yards receiving and handled the feature back role extremely well.

Mark Clayton is the Rams new #1 receiver and he is a must-add in all formats.

Matthew Stafford may miss up to 6 weeks and this is a major blow for fantasy owners who were counting on him as a QB2. Megatron’s value takes a minor hit but not as big as one may expect as he will still be targeted plenty by Shaun Hill the Detroit Lions temporary QB while Stafford is on the mend.

Michael Vick looks like the Philadelphia Eagles week 2 starter after Kevin Kolb failed his concussion test Monday. He is worth an add in all 2 QB formats and is worth the roster spot if you have one handy.

Matt Moore suffered a concussion on Sunday and his status for week 2 is up in the air. This writer submits that it would be a blessing in disguise for all Panthers fans such as myself if the Jimmy Clausen era was ushered in immediately. Clausen is the superior talent and should be starting.

Eddie Royal worked out of the slot on Sunday and ended the day with a productive Welker-lite like 8 catches. Expect Royal to remain the Denver Broncos possession receiver.
