Fantasy Football Fix September 15th 2010
The Minnesota Vikings are poised to make offer for Vincent Jackson. This deal would make all the sense in the world as Brett Favre clearly misses Sidney Rice. Lets not indict Percy Harvin and Bernard Berrian yet, but the whole fantasy community was disappointed with the week 1 performances from both. The report says the Rams will also make a play but the Vikings are likely to be willing to pay more to go after their championship this year with Favre.
The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reminds us that Brandon Jackson was drafted for the feature back role and had it for 3 games in 2007 before a shin injury sidelined him and allowed Ryan Grant to run with the job. I barely remembered this and this is a good reminder and also points to why the Packers never went after a running back since 2008.
Brett Favre is still shaking off some rust but needs to make a concerted effort to get deep-field threat Bernard Berrian more involved in the offense. Surely this week practice reps will go a long way towards the two establishing an on-field rapport with eachother.
Marshawn Lynch to the Green Bay Packers? Yes, if former college teammate and roommate Aaron Rodgers has anything to say about it. Rodgers has publicly endorsed a Lynch trade and it is now on the Packers brass to put the right deal together to satisfy their franchise player. He obviously does not see in Brandon Jackson what coach John McCarthy does, and this potential acquisition makes sense from all facets….Lynch is still an elite back despite his off-field issues.
