Ryan Mathews has a high ankle sprain and if you were one of the forward thinking ones who picked up Mike Tolbert even though Mathews injury was not yet clear than you are in luck. This is usually an injury that takes up to a month to heal (4-6 weeks) and he seems to be out of the ROY race if this is true for you futures bettors.

ESPN Insider’s Eric Karabell did a stock watch and here are his risers and fallers. Risers: Jay Cutler, Thomas Jones and Kevin Walter. Fallers: Jerome Harrison, David Garrard, T.J Houshmandzadeh. Read the article for his rationale.
Bruce Gradowski to start over Jason Campbell. The Raiders are 0-2 and are willing to give Gradowski a week to put a W in the win column. This is good news for Oakland skill players as Gradowski is more comfortable with all players on offense.
No Vincent Jackson trade as Chargers G.M A.J Smith is delusional and is asking for too much. He feels he should get Brandon Marshall compensation i.e. 2 second round picks, but the problem is Vincent Jackson is no Brandon Marshall. Chargers management now look like a bunch of fools as they said no to a 2nd and a conditional pick when they will likely only get a 3rd round pick as compensation if Vincent Jackson signs elsewhere during the off-season.
