LeSean McCoy says Michael Vick is the reason for his early season success as he draws the MIKE backer as a QB spy which opens up running lanes. We have seen the same phenomenon with Chris Johnson who went bananas last season after Vince Young took over as quarterback. Granted Vick will vulture some red-zone TD’s, but Michael Vick’s presence is a net benefit to LeSean McCoy.
Carolina Panthers running back Mike Goodson has played more snaps than Jonathan Stewart and this is alarming news for fantasy owners who dot get a chance to tune into Panthers games. We are certain Jonathan Stewart’s role will grow, but the fact is he is a backup on a losing team so the Panthers will not be running as much as they otherwise would if they were up in games.
Chaz Schilens still has not returned to the practice field and Schilens will have to shed the fragile label if he expects to have any measure of success at the NFL level.
Michael Bush practices in full again and looks to be set to steal 10-15 touches away from Darren McFadden this Sunday. This doesn’t change McFadden’s ranking as a RB2 this week, just be aware Michael Bush is a legitimate TD vulture.
Cedric Benson is upset with the move away from a run-heavy attack. The Bengals have to decide one way or another…the passing game to open up the run game or vice versa. Benson owners should expect a big game from Benson this week against the Carolina Panthers.
