Fantasy Football Fix September 27th 2010

riceRay Rice has a knee contusion but could still play in week 4 if he is able to practice later in the week. We should know for sure by Friday but for now Willis McGahee and LeRon McLain are decent bench stashes, especially with some of your players possibly on a bye week.

Jason Witten has a a sprained MCL. Luckily for fantasy owners the Cowboys have a bye week coming up and will not need to contend with the injury until week 5.

Marshawn Lynch is on the trade block and expect Buffalo to receive calls from old Cal roommate Aaron Rodgers’ Green Bay Packers,as well as the St. Louis Rams and the Seattle Seahawks. The Packers are an ideal landing spot for Marshawn Lynch and I hope you didn’t spend too many free agent dollars on Brandon Jackson.

Ryan Mathews will be back involved in the game plan in week 4 if he can continue practicing without limitations throughout the week. Check back for updates as there is still a few practices in which he may aggravate the injury. Mike Tolbert owners should hold at this time or try to sell to Ryan Mathews’ owner.

Devin Aromashadu was inactive against the Packers and this may stick due to his piss poor week 1 and poor blocking skills. He is now the 4th WR at best and maybe the 5th, he may resurface later in the season but we just hope you listened to us in the off-season and drafted Johnny Knox and Devin Hester before Aromashadu. Iglesiais was active.

Ryan Torain has been ascended to #2 on the Redskins depth chart and as we suggested here, Torain is a hot pickup this week.

Trent Edwards has been released by the Bills. All I can say it hat is about time and good riddance. I would be starting Brian Brohm, but Ryan Fitzpatrick is at least a quality-fill in.
