Fantasy Football Fix September 30th 2010

Steven_Jackson_WIDE821Steven Jackson may have to hold himself out on Sundays tilt in order to ensure his health for the rest of the season. Kenneth Darby is the Rams back to own while S-Jax is out and should provide solid flex value during the bye weeks.

Jahvid Best is back at practice and if he does not experience any setbacks than he will get the start Sunday. Best will be banged up and will be no better than a high upside RB3, a far cry from the RB1 status he has cemented for himself.

Fred Taylor is still banged up and it is apparent that Benjarvus Green-Ellis will get another start at running back and will have an opportunity to run away with the feature back job. Kudos to those of you who grabbed Green-Ellis you may have just stole yourself a feature back.

Jake Delhomme is in line to take his job back at QB for the Browns if his health allows him to this week. He is already back at practice but is clearly still dealing with nagging effects from the injury.

If Pierre Thomas cannot go this weekend it will be Ladell Betts who gets the start for the Saints. He is worth a speculative add if you have the roster space otherwise wait until later today to determine the chances of PT’s availability.

Cleveland Browns coach Eric Mangini is pissed off with Jerome Harrison for complaining about his new role now that Peyton Hillis has ran away with the feature back job in Cleveland. I am not nor have I ever been much of a Harrison fan and this may lead to him being placed in the doghouse. Mangini made it clear he is looking for an effective back who holds onto the ball, both direct knocks against Harrison. Dynasty league managers may want to scoop James Davis back up…he is a lot more talented than Harrison.
