Felix Jones is set to be sidelined for the next two to four weeks with a high ankle sprain which will give way for talented rookie DeMarco Murray to become the Cowboys featured back.
Murray has a ton of talent and this is a role he could thrive in a make a case to keep even after Felix Jones comes back.
Fantasy Impact:
DeMarco Murray is this weeks hot pickup with Felix Jones set to be sidelined for the next 2-4 weeks with a high ankle sprain.
This is a running back who had tremendous success on the ground when Sam Bradford was in Oklahoma and displayed Reggie Bush type hands when defenders started to stack the box against the run once Sam Bradford departed for the NFL.
A WMFL favorite Murray is a good bet for flex value with RB3 upside during Jones’ absence. If he can string a couple of good games together the talented Murray will force a timeshare, something that would greatly benefit the talented but fragile Felix Jones.
Murray is currently available in 84 percent of Yahoo! leagues and could emerge as a PPR stud over the next few weeks.
Tashard Choice will remain the backup running back and will likely rotate snaps on third down with Murray who is a good third down back in his own right. Unfortunately for Choice the Cowboys spent a pick on a back who is superior to him in almost every facet of the game.
Tony Romo and the Cowboys passing attack – The passing attack should not suffer much as Murray and Choice are both arguably NFL starting calibre running backs.
They may give the run game a little extra room until Murray or Choice force opponents to respect it.
One way or another we do not see this as being a huge problem as the Cowboys are blessed with big, physical, yards-after-the-catch receivers.

Nice call on DeMarco Murray, Rizzla. Whoever listened to you would have definitely won their week 7 matchup.
Thanks
Always liked him due to speed score, size, weight, speed blend
Has amazing hands
Just sad other fantasy pundits were so low on him coming into year, I was told he was Steve Slaton type but the highlight packages and his YPC when Sam Bradford was in Oklahoma suggested something different
