Hot Pickups – Week 16 – Fantasy Superbowl Edition

2
Demaryius Thomas – Despite having three straight weeks of solid fantasy goodness Thomas is still available in 65 percent of Yahoo! leagues. Demaryius Thomas needs to be owned in all leagues and started in week 16 against Buffalo. Pencil him as a WR3 with WR2 upside. The future is looking very bright for Demaryius Thomas.

Donald Brown – Donald Brown had a breakout game this past week against the Titans running for 161 yards and a touchdown. In week 16 the reinvigorated Colts get the beatable Jacksonville Jaguars and expect the Colts to give Donald Brown all the touches he can handle on early downs as they try to ascertain if the former 1st round pick has finally turned the corner in his career. Start Brown as a flex/flex2 option, but don’t be expecting another 10 YPC performance.

Kahlil Bell – Kahlil outplayed Marion barber in week 15 and those in the deepest of leagues may want to consider adding the 91 percent available Bell as a flex2 option. We expect a fairly even distribution of the workload unless one back proves he’s hot and dominates the carries. Temper your expectations as though they are facing the Packers and are expected to be playing from behind, thus limiting the potential for carries. His five receptions in week 15 gives him more value in PPR settings.

Lance Moore – Somehow Lance Moore is still available in 30 percent of Yahoo! leagues. This number needs to change to zero percent right away. Run to your wire to see if the spark plug is available in your league. Moore has become one of Drew Brees’ favorite red-zone options and has the reliable hands to get it done in this area. Pencil him in as a flex2 with flex upside.

Randall Cobb – Randall Cobb emerged from Green Bay’s shocking loss as the receiver with the most receptions (four) and we expect to see his role expand even further in week 16 as opposing D’s continue to key on Jordy Nelson. Roll with Cobb as a flex2 with considerable upside. Cobb is available in 86 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Darrius Heyward-Bey – DHB has had yet another career day this season and should be in lineups as a flex option in week 16. He is a boom or bust proposition, but when the boom is eight receptions for 155 yards, you roll the dice. Deploy him as a flex2 option in medium to large league formats. DHB is available in 76 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

T.J Houshmandzadeh – Those in deep PPR leagues may want to give T.J a looksie in championship week. The rapport between Palmer and T.J has never been in question, but now T.J seems to have his game legs under him. Roll with him in the deepest of formats as a flex2 options. T.J is available in 98 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Nate Burleson – Burleson went off again in week 15 with seven receptions, 81 yards and a TD, and while he is probably already owned in most PPR formats, he is still available in 58 percent of Yahoo! leagues and can be counted on as a flex2 in deeper formats in week 16. He is a must-start in PPR formats due the extra attention Megatron will undoubtedly receive this week.

Greg Little – Little had his breakout game in week 15 to the tune of five receptions for a whopping 131 yards and a touchdown. Litlle has always had the talent, it just that the weaker nature of the Cardinals secondary allowed it to be displayed. Little is only an option in the deepest of leagues a a flex2. Little is available in 84 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Brent Celek – Celek exploded in week 15 for 156 yards off of five receptions, including a 73 yard gain and a 26 yard score. Celek is available in 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues and is a rock solid TE2 with TE1 upside.

  1. Defending league championship for a $200 WIN (female against 11 macho guys – THIS IS IMPORTANT – lol).

Please tell me which one should I sit – Harvin, Robinson, McCoy, M Bush, or Greene?

Redskins are listed as having a top pass defense, but you have Harvin over Robinson in WR and FLEX rankings, so I am really haviing a hard time with this.

THANK YOU SO MUCH – HAVE DEPENDED ON YOU ALL SEASON, AND YOU GOT ME THRU! — Mo

  2. Its a toss up between Greene and Robinson

I would sit Greene, as Robinson should benefit from the extra attention Bryant, Austin and Witten will receiver from the Eagles D
