Hot Pickups – Week One
Eli Rogers – Eli Rogers was already one of the hottest add’s of the preseason and now with Wheaton looking doubtful Rogers gets a major boost to the WR2 cusp for week one. Sammie Coates should also be an option for those in deeper leagues. Eli Rogers is available in 95 percent of Yahoo! Leagues and will likely be one of the hottest adds heading into week two. Add him now.
Tajae Sharpe – Still available in 55 percent of Yahoo! leagues Sharpe should be universally owned by now. A good bet to lead the the Titans in receptions Sharpe looks to be a solid PPR option this year and will have some WR3 plus weeks. Add the flex option wherever available.
Rishard Matthews – Matthews is locked in as a starter for the Titans and while the Titans will run first and run second Matthews should be owned in most leagues if as nothing more than an upside bye week filler. Matthews has proven he can be a possession receiver and his snap count will undoubtedly lead to some solid PPR outings this season. Stash the flex3 option where possible. Matthews is available in 58 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Terrelle Pryor – Pryor looks like his conversion to receiver is more than just a gimmick and he has already shown some solid chemistry with fellow QB RGIII. Pryor should be owned in deeper leagues as an upside stash with bye week filler appeal. Pryor is available in 86 percent of Yahoo! leagues.
Pierre Garcon – Available in 78 percent of Yahoo! leagues these ownership numbers are just insane. Yes, Desean Jackson is the number one here and Josh Doctson has more talent than Garcon but Washington’s run game is pitiful and the defense while improved will provide many a garbage time for Washington’s pass catchers to produce. Garcon must be owned at the very least as a bye week filler/injury replacement.
Mohamed Sanu – Available in 47 percent of Yahoo! leagues Sanu will likely post close to WR3 numbers this season. Run dont walk.
Steve Smith – 53 percent available but we will consider 53 percent of Yahoo! Leagues inactive this season. Mighty Mouse is healthy and raring to go and should find more room to operate than ever in his career with Mike Wallace taking the top off of opposing defenses.
James White – James White should be owned in all PPR leagues as if he can produce like his pedigree suggests he can quickly make journeyman Dion Lewis a forgotten man in New England.. 55 percent available. Add White as a flex3 option in PPR leagues with flex upside.
Laquan Treadwell – Available in 77 percent of Yahoo! Leagues add Treadwell for free before you have to blow you FAAB wad on him later.
Phillip Dorsett – Available in 62 percent of Yahoo! Leagues Dorsett will explode if Hilton gets hurt or when the Colts realize Dorsett is actually the better player. Add Dorsett as a bye week filler/bench stash where possible.
Mike Wallace – Available in 65 Percent of Yahoo! Leagues Mike Wallace looks to be in line to be the top fantasy producer out of the Ravens wideout corps. Wallace has shown solid chemistry with Flacco dating back to OTA’s and finally has a good quarterback to get him the ball once again. Roster Wallace as an WR4 with high end WR3 upside.
Anquan Boldin – Believe what you want to but 78 percent unowned is just crazy. It is not outside the realm of possibility that Boldin leads the team in both touchdowns and receptions at the end of the year so those of you sleeping on him should seriously consider making the add. Boldin should bounce back to WR4 territory at a minimum with Matthew Stafford sure to quickly learn that he has never in his career had as sure-handed, crisp route running a target in his career as he now has with Anquan Boldin.
Will Fuller – Available in 52 percent of Yahoo! Leagues Fuller will have WR3 and even WR2 weeks this season albeit some weeks he will be a complete dud. You could do worse for a bench stash. Add where available.
Robert Kelley – When the guy playing ahead of you averaged 3.4 yards per carry in his rookie season you better be ready to start. Matt Jones was worse than replacement level as a rookie and with Keith Marshall no longer a factor is should not be long before Kelley is anointed the new starter in Washington. Add Kelley as a bench stash with flex plus upside.
