Hot Pickups – Week Six

Earnest Graham – Earnest Graham will get the call for the Buccaneers with LaGarette Blount due to be sidelined for the next couple of weeks. Graham while he will a better play in PPR formats, is still a candidate for 100 yards from scrimmage every time he hits the field. Graham available in 63 percent of leagues as only 13 percent of owners made a move on Graham so far this week.

Jackie Battle – Jackie Battle has emerged as the Kansas City running back to own. No one could have envisioned his 19 carries for 119 yard breakout in week five, but here we are. Despite his rock solid week Batte is mysteriously available for battle in 65 percent of Yahoo! leagues.

Doug Baldwin – Doug Baldwin has emerged as a legit fantasy option over the first five weeks of the season and is currently a top-25 wideout in the Yahoo! game. He finished week five with a whopping eight receptions for 136 yards and one touchdown. Baldwin is available in 78 percent of Yahoo! leagues and should be scooped up wherever he is available.

Steve Breaston – It has become evident that as Steve Breaston becomes more and more comfortable with the Chiefs offense that Matt Cassel will improve by leaps and bounds. While still learning the nuances of the offense Breaston has emerged as a legit flex2 option in all formats. Breaston finished week five with four receptions for 50 yards and two touchdowns. Breaston is available in 79 percent of Yahoo! leagues

Damian Williams – Damian Williams finished week five with six receptions for 66 yards and one TD. Williams and Hasselbeck made a point to get on the same page after Williams’ dismal week four performance and it seems like the talented wideout will finally get an opportunity to prove he belongs in the starting lineup. Williams is currently available in 97 percent of Yahoo! leagues

Jason Hill – Jason Hill came alive for the Jaguars in week five to the tune of five receptions for 118 yards and one score. Hill is showing good chemistry with Blaine Gabbert and is worth a flier in deeper leagues, especially as a bye week filler. Hill is available in 98 percent of Yahoo! leagues

Darrius Heyward-Bey – DHB went off for seven receptions, 99 yards and one touchdown. Now while the Raiders passing game seems to be a on-and-off carousel for fantasy purposes there is no denying DHB’s talent. His raw ability have never been in question, rather his hands have been. This seven catch performance is especially noteworthy since DHB only caught nine passes over eleven games in his rookie season. Perhaps the light has come on for this third year wideout. Even after this weeks waivers he is still available in 62 percent of Yahoo! leagues

Kevin Walter – Kevin Walter, as expected, emerged as the Texans wideout to own with Andre Johnson out. Derrick Mason will compete for snaps with Jones leaving Walter with good value over the next few weeks. Walter finished week five with five receptions for 81 yards and one touchdown, Walter is available in 77 percent of Yahoo! leagues

David Nelson – Despite a slow week with just one catch for 6 yards and a score, Nelson’s fantasy stock is heading upwards with Donald Jones injured and expected to miss the next few weeks. Nelson is available in 46 percent of Yahoo! leagues despite ascending to the starting lineup of one of the most potent passing attacks thus far this season.

Jason Avant – Jason Avant exploded in week five for nine receptions, 139 yards and one touchdown. While Avant will not consistently put up this kind of production he is a solid bye week filler for deeper league formats. Avant is currently available in 87 percent of Yahoo! leagues and is worth the late-week add.

Early Doucet – Early Doucet continues to come on strong and is showing increased chemistry with Kevin Kolb. He should be on some wires still as the Cards have a bye this week. Doucet finished week five with eight receptions for 92 yards. Doucet is available in 76 percent of Yahoo! leagues and looks to be ascending to solid flex2 value especially in PPR formats.
