IDP Rankings – Week Five

Sean Lee finds himself back in the top tier of linebackers after a downright impressive fifteen solo tackle performance versus the Chargers. Lee added three assisted tackles and added a pick six to cap off a game changing fantasy day.

Alec Ogletree has the second most solo tackles in the NFL and has firmly planted himself on the LB2 radar. Laurinaitis owners this is where his tackles are going.

Tyrann Mathieu has the most solo tackles of any defensive back in the NFL (28) and is making the most of his time on the field. Mathieu has emerged as a DB1 candidate during the bye weeks.

Chandler Jones had a very slow week four but remains one of our top ranked defensive line options due to his immense upside.

Vontaze Burfict leads the NFL in total tackles and will remain among league leaders all season with offensive lines focusing on Geno Atkins and James Harrison. Burfict is a solid LB2 with weekly LB1 upside. We have Burfict ranked as our number 11 option this week.

Karlos Dansby takes a tumble in our rankings with the return of the immensely talented Daryl Washington. Like we have seen with Patrick Willis and James Laurinaitis the addition of a second elite level talent can hurt fantasy production. Dansby leads the NFL in solo tackles with 9.25 per game, a number we expect to drop significantly.

Justin Houston has the most misleading stats at the quarter pole with all 7.5 of his sacks coming in two games versus the very ‘sackable’ Michael Vick and the rest coming against Blaine Gabbert. He has zero in his other two games including one against the very ‘sackable’ Eli Manning.
